Interview with @just_another_n3rd
Q: How long have you been a toy photographer?
A: I’ve been taking pictures for about 3 years but this past year is when I really started to get more serious about it. Started off just taking pictures with my phone but ended up with a camera this year and just been practicing with every shoot and learning whatever I can and as much as I can. Pretty happy with how much I’ve learned since I first started.
Q: What got you started in toy photography?
A: Funko would host these #FunkoPhotoADay competitions on social media and I thought it would be fun to join in and take pictures with my different Pop figures. Never thought I would love it so much!
Q: What is your favorite figure to shoot and why?
A: Really love shooting Funko Pops! I shoot mostly anime and Marvel Funko Pops. My favorite Pops to shoot are definitely Dragon Ball Funko Pops!
Q: What is your favorite place to take photos?
A: Don’t really have a favorite spot exactly, but I do use my apartment complex pretty frequently. There’s a trash compactor in my complex and behind it there’s a bunch of construction materials that I really love to use. Mostly I’ll shoot wherever I can.
Q: What’s the weirdest thing that has ever happened during a photo shoot?
A: There’s a stray cat that follows me around whenever I’m out and about in my apartment complex and he always loves to get into my shots just to get attention. He’s kind of my photography buddy!
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: I’ve always wanted to be able to control electricity! With so much around us running on electricity I feel like it would be a very convenient superpower to have and also be a force to be reckoned with!
