Q: How long have you been a toy photographer?

A: I think it’s been just about three years now.

Q: What got you started in toy photography?

A: I got my start participating in one of Funko’s Photo-A-Day Challenges. I had never done toy photography (and it showed).

Q: What is your favorite figure to shoot and why?

A: I shoot almost exclusively Funko Pops. I love and collect a lot of Disney, Star Wars, Marvel and Lord of the Rings, so those are also some of my favorites to shoot.

Q: What is your favorite place to take photos?

A: Definitely outdoors. I take a majority of my photos in my backyard, but I love taking Pops with me on location as well. One of my favorites is Forky at White Sands National Park.

Q: What’s the weirdest thing that has ever happened during a photo shoot?

A: Once I had brought some Pops to Disneyland with me, and I was trying to set up a shot of Woody in Cars Land. I wasn’t even aware that there was a crowd of people behind me watching me. Now if I photograph at Disneyland, I’m much more stealthy. The crowds make me nervous.

Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?

A: Flying! I don’t know how much of a superpower it is on its own, but it would be so much fun.
