An Interview with @jack.stanny

Q: How long have you been a toy photographer?
A: I have only started toy photos recently. I would say a year max.
Q: What got you started in toy photography?
A: I came across a video on YouTube that talked out the use of figures and thought I would have a go.
Q: What is your favorite figure to shoot and why?
A: A favorite figure is difficult as so many companies make amazing figures. I would have to say the Neca Avp line is a fantastic set of figures. Personally the temple guard really pops under harsh light.
Q: What is your favorite place to take photos?
A: I have grown to enjoy shooting in homemade displays made from foam or other items you wouldn’t expect. Vegetable baskets are a good example.
Q: What’s the weirdest thing that has ever happened during a photo shoot?
A: Strangest thing would be recently during the photoshoot for Exogol. Upon starting the shoot, the weather went from sunny to lightning. It was straight off the set of Star Wars.
Q: If you could have any superpower what would it be and why?
A: Any superpower is tough. I think I’d have to go with flight. The fact you could be anywhere in minutes without speed cameras sounds amazing. Would work wonders for photoshoots too.
